Aurelcrist, the Vain of the Dawn

Aurelcrist was once an opera singer in the city of Zarid, famed for his powerful voice and boundless arrogance. He scorned his peers, manipulated his conductors, and believed that even the gods themselves listened to his song at dawn. When age began to steal his voice, he turned to forbidden potions and rituals to preserve it, selling fragments of his soul for every note he wished to keep.

He died alone, unable to utter a single sound, his throat scorched by the corrupt magic he had invoked. His soul, obsessed with being heard, refused to rest.
