Dravok, the Watcher of Eternal Mire

Dravok was a sentinel of the marshes of Vhal — a man who knew every current, every murmur of the mud, and lived to protect the safe paths of travelers.
But a great drought brought despair: his people began selling the very trails he guarded, demanding tribute for passage.
When Dravok refused, they branded him as greedy and left him chained in the heart of the swamp.

For days he cried for help, until the waters rose high enough to drown him.
The marsh sealed over his body, and the corruption of the stagnant depths fused with his spirit.
