Miralisse was a noblewoman of the riverside lands, famed for her beauty and for the countless mirrors that adorned every corner of her palace.
She believed her reflection was her true spirit — that as long as her image existed, death could never claim her.

When war came, her castle was swallowed by fog and rising waters.
She refused to flee, sealing herself within her highest chamber, surrounded by her mirrors.
When the swamp reached her tower, her reflection was the last thing she saw — and the first thing the mire preserved.

Miralisse’s soul did not dissolve; it fractured within the reflections of the tainted water.
Her form became translucent, draped in soaked gowns and rusted jewels.
Now she wanders the deepest pools of the swamp, where the water looks solid and the air smells faintly of sweet iron.
