Thal’Gorr, the Devourer of Knowledge

Thal’Gorr was a scholar of the low marshes, a monk from an order devoted to deciphering the “language of souls,” carved upon the oldest roots of the swamp.
He believed that by engraving knowledge into flesh, the mind could preserve what death sought to erase.

When he finally understood the forbidden tongue, his soul unraveled within itself.
His body twisted into a semi-human mass, covered in eyes and living symbols that throb like open wounds.
His tongue became an autonomous limb — long, sinewy, and restless — forever seeking to etch new markings onto any surface or victim it finds.

Thal’Gorr wanders the flooded ruins of the swamp, where the dissolved monks left behind their sunken temples.
