Verith was never an individual, but a lost community.
The inhabitants of a small village, devoted to the goddess of reincarnation, perished during a plague they themselves unleashed in their attempt to control the cycle of life.

The swarm has no leader, no central form, yet within its core manifests a denser presence — a mass of wings and eyes that throbs like a heart made of air.
The flies emit a hum that mimics human speech; when several speak in unison, they can form complete sentences, blending masculine, feminine, and childish tones.

Verith drifts among the corpses of fallen swamp creatures, feeding on faint spiritual energy and the abandoned remnants of emotion.
